It’s that time of year again. No, not St. Patrick’s Day; that’s next week.
COATS would like to give a shout-out to two clients of ours: Allegiance Staffing and our sister staffing firm, Reliance Staffing & Recruiting, both of whom were named to the Best of Staffing Client list.
More and more, people—especially teens and young adults—are accessing the internet on mobile devices.
While some publications have published articles pondering whether social media is a threat to the staffing industry, a better way to look at it would be to view social media as the powerful tool it is and understand how it can strengthen your recruiting and sourcing efforts.
Social media is, of course, a means of communication, allowing you to put your messages in front of an audience that has consented to receive them. But unlike most means of communication, in social media, your audiences can communicate right back to you and let you know what they think about your messages, …
Social media is not a fad or something used only by kids and people who want the world to know about their lunch; it’s a proven platform for marketing. But while most companies have one audience for their marketing, staffing companies have two: candidates and clients.
Trying to speak to both audiences at once using one channel results in the communications equivalent of a mullet. You may think it’s working, with the business in the front (your B2B client marketing) and the party in the back (your B2C candidate marketing). But what you’re really doing is creating confusion and …
Hopefully, you haven’t abandoned your personal New Year’s resolutions just yet, although we’d totally understand, given the year-end stress. Once the dust has cleared, it’s a great time to set fresh goals for your business. Think of them as business resolutions for the new year.
2012 is shaping up to be a great year for staffing: employers are planning a similar pattern of job growth to last year; turnover is a concern for employers (and we can help) and temporary workers are becoming a regular part of the workforce.
In staffing, we rely on businesses to trust us with one of the most important strategic elements of their business: hiring. And candidates are trusting us with one of the most important elements of their lives.
COATS Staffing Software will be closed tomorrow through Sunday, November 27. We’ll reopen at our usual time of 8 a.m. EST on Monday, November 28.
We know you’ve been doing great work over the past year. Why not get some recognition for what you do?
Well, maybe not an adventure in the strictest sense (we got out of the convention center maybe once or twice), but COATS had a great time at Staffing World 2011 last week in New Orleans.
Staffing World is the staffing industry’s biggest event, and this year’s conference hasn’t disappointed so far.
We’re getting ready to head to New Orleans for Staffing World 2011. We’ll be in Booth 211, back to back with our buddies Global Cash Card and across from our buddies Essential StaffCARE.
In addition to the September 11 anniversary and National Staffing Employee Week, September has an additional holiday that can apply to staffing: American Business Women’s Day.
As much as September 11 is noted for what we lost as a nation, it can also be seen as a day to mark our determination not just to survive but to rebuild and come back stronger. And “coming back stronger” is what staffing is all about.
The Kentucky Labor Cabinet recently contacted the American Staffing Agency about the prospect that staffing firms in that state had charged candidates for drug testing in violation of state law.
For most Americans, Labor Day means the end of summer, a chance for cookouts and a time to reconsider wearing white shoes. For staffing firms, it can also mean celebrating all the different ways Americans work.
We’re very relieved to report that we came through Hurricane Irene completely unscathed, with all our systems and data restored, and we’re ready to serve you!
In a high-tech age where you know immediately whenever a friend across the country is waiting in line at a coffee shop, paper applications seem a little… last-century. Your candidates are searching for jobs online and interacting with your company’s web site online; why not make it easy for them to apply online too?
