If you’ve wanted to reduce your carbon footprint, your resource consumption… or just your paper and postage costs, COATSsql Version 4.0 will help you do just that with PDF invoicing.
American businesses send an estimated 15 to 20 billion paper invoices to other businesses each year, according to e-invoicing firm OB10. Not only do paper invoices consume physical resources such as paper, water and fuel, they take several days to work through the mail system, consuming time as well.
Now users of COATSsql staffing software will have the option of invoicing their clients through Adobe PDFs. Clicking a button in the COATSsql interface will send an invoice to a client as an email attachment rather than using paper, envelopes, stamps, transportation and time.
Adding PDF invoicing furthers COATS’ commitment to green business practices. Already, COATSsql users can bypass paper paychecks with the traditional direct deposit option or with the Global Cash Card, a debit card available to contingent workers employed by staffing firms that can be loaded using employees’ pay and used anywhere debit cards are accepted.
Karen Connor, our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, acknowledges the increasing importance of going green, saying, “More companies and clients are looking to technology to offer green alternatives to their paper-dominated world. COATS is pleased to offer this new paperless feature to all our existing COATS clients, who can in turn offer the green advantage to their clients.”
PDF invoicing is included in the newest release of COATSsql, Version 4.0, available in the fourth quarter of 2010. Version 4.0 also includes two new fraud prevention reports and a report comparing general ledger data to budget estimates.
