Doesn’t it seem like forever since you heard from that particular client? Say, just how long ago was it? If you’ve got COATSsql Staffing Software, you can find out instantly by using the Client Falloff Report function.
There are two ways to use this feature: viewing client falloff by invoice date or by last contact date. Client Falloff by Invoice Date will show you clients who haven’t been invoiced since a particular date. This is a good way to discover who hasn’t been using your services; from there, you can evaluate whether it’s due to the nature of the client’s business or other external factors, or if perhaps they’re not working with you in particular.
To review the Client Falloff by Invoice Date report:
- Click Reports in the COATS main menu or use the key command ALT+T.
- Click Client Reports.
- Click Client Falloff – By Invoice Date.
- A calendar will appear; double-click the desired date.
- Choose the report destination: Screen, Printer, or Cancel.
Client Falloff by Contact Date will show you clients with whom you haven’t had any point of contact (that you’ve noted in COATS, anyway) since a particular date. This report is geared more toward communications and client relationship management, and can help with internal management and goal-setting. After all, you can’t control when a company has a demand for staffing, but you can control how often you contact them to stay in touch.
To review the Client Falloff by Contact Date report:
- Click Reports in the COATS main menu or use the key command ALT+T.
- Click Client Reports.
- Click Client Falloff – By Contact Date.
- A calendar will appear; double-click the desired date.
- Choose the report destination: Screen, Printer, or Cancel.
(Note how remarkably similar the instructions are.) Hopefully, judicious use of the information you get from the Client Falloff by Contact Date report, you can improve the results on the Client Falloff by Invoice Date report.
