COATSsql 15.0.1
Please review all information on this page prior to installing and updating your COATS system. Ensure you have all your data backed up. Version 15.0.1 is the latest version of COATSsql available and includes the enhancements listed in the What’s New document.
INSTRUCTIONS for installing Version 15.0.1
1. Update your COATSsql software.
- Ensure version 4.3.8 or greater is installed prior to upgrading to 15.0.1. If your COATSsql version number is less than 4.3.8, you can download and install version 4.3.8 from the linked page.
- Download “sqlup1501.exe” and store it in your TEMP folder.
- Locate the TEMP folder on your computer and double-click the sqlup1501.exe file.
- Extract the file to your COATS folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\COATS\COATS2000) on any computer currently running version 4.3.8 or greater to update.
2. Update your COATSsql data
- If you use SQL Server 2014 or higher and are on COATSsql Version 15.0.0 or higher, update your COATSsql data following the instructions in this document:
- If you use SQL Server 2014 or higher and are on COATSsql Version 4.3.8 through 15.0.0, update your COATSsql data following the instructions in this document:

Microsoft no longer supports SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012. We are advising our clients that COATSsql is no longer able to support SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012. as a minimum hardware requirement. Contact COATS Technical Support at 1-800-888-5894 with any questions.
COATSsql REQUIRES .NET Framework 4.5.1.

2024 Tax Table Updates for COATSsql
1. Download and review the COATSsql tax update document.
2. COATSsql Version 15.0.0 is a required update for 2024. Please CLICK HERE if you do not have version 15.0.0.
3. Download and install the .exe file below to update your 2024 tax tables:
Please be sure you are not running or working in COATSsql while performing this update.
Locate the TEMP folder on your computer and double-click the Taxes_SQL_2024.exe file.
Extract the file to c:\COATS_Taxes_SQL_2024. This is the default folder used.
4. Click here to view the Special Tax Considerations page.
5. Remember to manually update your FUTA and SUTA rates as necessary.
IRS and STATE rules change FREQUENTLY. Consult your tax adviser for their assistance.

Arizona has an update to their state withholdings. Please follow the steps below to update employees tax codes for 2023.

In Connecticut, Paid Family Leave Insurance is to be withheld from employees’ paychecks. Update to your local tax table will need to be made accommodate this requirement.
CO
In Colorado, Paid Family Leave Insurance is to be withheld from employees’ paychecks. Update to your local tax table will need to be made accommodate this requirement.
MD
Maryland has update to their locality withholdings. Please follow the steps below to update employees tax codes for 2022.
MA
In Massachusetts, Paid Family Leave Insurance is to be withheld from employees’ paychecks. Update to your local tax table will need to be made accommodate this requirement.
NJ
In New Jersey, Disability Insurance & Family Leave Insurance are withheld from employees’ paychecks. Changes will need to be made in your local tax table to accommodate this change.
NY
In New York, Paid Family Leave Insurance rate has changed for 2024.
If you withhold Yonkers (NY) taxes from employees, install these codes to your local tax table to accommodate changes for 2022.
OR
In Oregon, Paid Family Leave Insurance is to be withheld from employees’ paychecks. Update to your local tax table will need to be made accommodate this requirement.
WA
In Washington, Paid Family Leave Insurance is to be withheld from employees’ paychecks. Washington has a new WACares Fund, which is on hold until Mid 2023. Update to your local tax table will need to be made to accommodate for these requirements.
