Today’s post is by Jessie Sierra, our Sales Manager.
For you newbies out there and you “oldies but goodies” who may not have realized: you can always find the latest training dates and times right here. Not only does it show our training dates, it also lists free webinars, and who doesn’t love free?
You have several options to meet your training needs:
Group Training is scheduled in two-hour increments four times a month, on Thursdays and Fridays. You can get Group Training on Front Office (Employees, Clients, and Orders) or Back Office (Payroll and AR).
It can be a great venue for a “lunch and learn” at your workplace. If you do not mind the possibility of other clients being on the call, this is a great money-saver.
One-on-On Training is scheduled based on client and trainer availability and is also scheduled in two-hour increments. With this training, you can customize the type of training you want to receive. This training is perfect for anyone who wants that one-to-one attention with the trainer.
Both of these trainings are done online via a conference call. These calls give you an opportunity to interact with the trainer and have your questions answered as you see the trainer go through adding, deleting, copying, modifying and completing a record from start to finish.
The next two types of training classes we offer involve travel.
Local Training is perfect for those clients who learn best offsite. This training is offered twice a month for three days at our Virginia Beach office. In those three days we will cover Employees, Clients, Job Orders, Payroll, Reports, Maintenance, AP, AR, Banks and GL; the total package, A thru Z. This training is perfect for first-time clients and for those who may need a refresher course. Coming to us gives you not only the opportunity to learn but a mini-vacation in the evenings. Did I mention we are 10 minutes from the beach?
On-Site Training is for clients who do not want to leave the office and really want a hands-on approach. This training brings COATS to you! A trainer flies to your office and will train you and offer hands-on tech support. This training can be customized to your company’s needs. The length of the training is negotiable, but the norm is three days.
Training Videos are designed for those that like to be self-taught. These videos are separated by session and can be watched in one sitting or over several sittings, depending on your role within your company. The videos teach the basic fundamentals of each COATS module, and are often used for startup training or training new employees. These videos are perfect for guided, step-by-step training where users can rewind to review any and all subjects. If your staff needs a refresher course, it’s also a great tool. If you’re using the training videos as a brand new client, I recommend that you give yourself ample time to review and learn the front office. However, if time is of the essence, then the one-on-one training may be the route to go.
Last be certainly not least, there are the Webinars for when new enhancements come out. Most of our webinars cover the “What’s New” features. This training is a must-do, as it allows you to use COATS effectively.
I hope this helps you understand why training is important to the success of your company, the type of training for your needs and when to use training.
