Today’s post is by Karen Connor, our VP of Business Development.
We had a fantastic time at the National Independent Staffing Association conference in Boston last week!
It was wonderful to see our clients face-to-face and to meet new friends.
We enjoyed dinner with Marc Turner of Career Concepts, Kyle Jensen of Temp Associates and Laura Diaz of Primary Staffing.
While we were in Boston, we took in the sights and of course had Boston Cream Pie courtesy of Tobi from Global Cash Card, YUMMMM! In fact, we were staying at the hotel where Boston Creme Pie was invented: the Omni Parker House. And as you might have guessed, it was also the birthplace of Parker House Rolls, so we were double spoiled.
The Affordable Care Act was a major concern to everyone at the conference, so it was good to see NISA members discussing the ACA with John Rutledge from Assurance, plus informative member panels on what’s working for them.
Tom and I enjoyed the NISA group and Boston. We’re excited to see where they go next year!
You can also meet Karen and Tom at Staffing World, Oct. 7-11.
